Transforming the Trent Valley’s Wildchild Project has created a self-led treks for families with young children.
These FREE downloadable treks provide a series of interesting and fun activities, based on the natural and unique features of our East Staffordshire nature reserves and green spaces.
As you walk round the site, the activities will change a casual walk into an adventure for your little ones,
As they are self led and based on features, you can visit Beans Covert every season. You can compare leaves, look for mini-beasts and hunt high and low for fungi.
Step into this amazing urban woodland, and create magical woodland memories!
Highlights:
Beans Covert is the historic sight of Ryknild Street, an unearthed Roma Road: you can see the grassed over hump of this covered Roman Road in Beans Covert, which is thought to have spanned from Wales and passed through Branston and Stretton, and enters Derbyshire over Monk’s Bridge near Egginton.
