An Evening with Mary Queen of Scots
On Saturday 11th March join Tutbury Castle for a night of true Scottish celebration.
Our very own Mary Queen of Scots will provide the entertainment for the evening following the delicious two course Scottish supper.
Mary Queen of Scots was queen of Scotland and France, and a dangerous claimant for the English throne. After being forced to flee from Scotland by her rebellious subjects, she was held prisoner at various properties in the Midlands and Yorkshire. Among these was Tutbury Castle, where she was held on four occasions. It was here that she became embroiled in the plots which were eventually to cost her life. Meet the tragic queen during her final imprisonment at Tutbury and share her hopes and fears as her dramatic tale approaches its bitter conclusion.
Arrival is at 7pm, where you may enjoy a drink in the tearoom, until you are seated in the Great Hall at 7.30pm. Following dessert, you will return to the tearoom for tea and coffee, whilst the Great Hall is rearranged for the performance with Mary Queen of Scots.
Tutbury Castle can cater for dietary requirements if contacted in advance. If you have a certain dietary requirement, please do give our helpful office team a call. Unfortunately, dietary requirements cannot be catered for without prior notice.
Price: £29.50
Price includes a complimentary glass of malt whiskey (or other drink if preferred).
