The National Forest Walking Festival – Walk 2. Branston Leas & Tucklesholme Nature Reserves

This walk provides a perfect introduction to two developing nature reserves, both located adjacent to the River Trent. The route will take us around the former gravel pits at Tucklesholme, now transformed into a wetland reserve, and onto the Branston Leas Nature Reserve which is evolving to become part of the National Forest.

Distance:                            5 miles, 3 hours, 0 stiles

Starting Point:                  Tucklesholme Nature Reserve DE13 8EN Car park just off Station Lane to the east of the A38 in the direction of Walton-on-Trent
