The National Forest Walking Festival – Walk 65. Meadowside Leisure Centre

The Trent Washlands, as the names suggests, lies on the floodplain of the River Trent, this has recently undergone a large amount of work to help attract more wildlife to the area. The route may vary due to the weather but still offers plenty to look at from the sculpture trail, Cherry Orchards, Centenary Woodland and plenty more. The walk is led by volunteer walk leaders and after the enjoyable walk the group meet for lunch at Burton Library (optional).

Distance:                            2-2.5 miles, 1 hour, 0 stiles

Starting Point:                  Meadowside Leisure Centre, Meadowside Drive, Burton upon Trent, Staffs DE14 1TL. Car Park on site.
