Beamhurst Museum
Summary
Beamhurst Museum is a privately owned museum, just outside of the beautiful market town of Uttoxeter.
John Walton together with wife Laura and daughter Bethany realised their dreams and opened the doors to their museum so the public could enjoy their collection as much as they do. The museum is only open for 28 days a year.
And it won’t leave you disappointed! From clocks to carriages, music and brewery memorabilia to telephone boxes, and pottery to paintings the vast amount and variety of the antiques in this museum will leave you in awe. With a particular passion for all things local, there are over a thousand items related to Uttoxeter alone.
The Museum has been featured on a number of popular antiques programmes including Drew Pritchard’s Salvage Hunters, Antique Road Trip and Put Your Money Where Your Mouth is.
The Walton family will proudly tell you the tales of the treasure they take care of and there are many, many treasures! Look up to the rafters and down at your feet, there isn’t an inch of space that isn’t filled with antiques of the past. This wonderful time machine will evoke memories from your past.
A great family day out for the young and old, where you can share your memories with the younger members of your family.
And entrance to the museum is FREE…
Laura happily supplies tea & cake (fee applies) as you will be there a while!
