Keep the whole family entertained over the Easter holidays with our roundup of things to do during Easter 2023 in East Staffordshire. Find things to do on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday and beyond.

From Easter egg hunts and special Easter events for the young and the grownups, to Easter Sunday lunch and long leisurely trails to bow the cobwebs away, you can plan a fun-filled Easter break in East Staffordshire.

Throughout the Easter holidays you will be able to see the adorable new born lambs at Church Farm Tearooms and Children’s Farm, Anslow. Where, between Thursday 6th and 9th April you can also take part in a Paddington themed Easter trail.

The Deer Park, in the beautiful village of Hoar Cross, recently opened their farm and coffee shop and on 6th April are opening their woodlands walks, and hosting an artisan market. So pull on your wellies and discover East Staffordshire outdoors and then indulge in some homemade delights.

In Burton upon Trent, there will be Clay for Kids session at Burton Market Hall, an affordable, drop in activity the whole family can enjoy on Wednesday 6th and 12th April (10am and 1pm) and just £1.

 

The King of Nothing, a wonderful puppet musical inspired by Hans Christian Anderson’s the Emperor’s New Clothes, will be featured at The Brewhouse on Thursday 6th April at 1pm and 4pm as well as a Youth Dance programme for 11-16 years old of any experience.

Families will be able to experience an Easter treat, as Burton-upon-Trent Golf Club presents an Easter EGGS-TRAVAGANZA on 9th April. Where there will be a craft corner, Easter egg hunt, and a Peter Rabbit build-a-bear activity, along with other entertainment.

On Monday 10th April Riverside Miniature Railway, in Burton-upon-Trent are hosting an Easter trail, you can follow the clues to find the eggs and ride the miniature trains.

In Uttoxeter, Go Garden are hosting an open day at Uttoxeter Leisure Centre, Thursday 6th Apr 10am-2pm and the first Go Garden workshops will go ahead in June, aiming to provide schools, community groups and families the chance to grow their own vegetables, plants and flowers and enhance the area. Just turn up and say hello.

On Good Friday young families can enjoy a cracking good day at Heath Community Centre, where the Uttoxeter Lions are holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt. The free outdoor event, for children under 10 years, runs from 10:30am to 3:00pm.

Shoppers and food lovers will be able to experience an Easter treat at Staffordshire’s award winning Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Café. Not only can pick up your spring blooms, your luxurious Easter chocolate, you can book a table for a two or three course Easter Sunday lunch.

Easter fun on the Farm! Follow the woodland trail or take the Easter Eggspress to meet the Easter Bunny and his friends, at The National Forest Adventure Farm in Tatenhill. Easter magic shows, circus workshops and Easter crafting fun are all available from the 1st of April to the 14th. Don’t forget to meet the spring lambs and other farm animals.

Or if you are looking for a more tranquil place to while away a few hours, why not take a family stroll around a local nature reserve. Branston Water Park, a 1.5 mile walk, features one of the largest reed beds in Staffordshire, together with wet woodland, open grassland and wildflower meadows. These valuable habitats attract a wide range of birds, butterflies and other insects to photograph along the way.
