Burton Statutes Fair is one of Burton upon Trent’s most distinctive traditions, with origins that go back many centuries to the time of Michaelmas hiring fairs. What began as an opportunity for labourers and servants to find work for the year ahead has gradually developed into a popular town-centre amusement fair, bringing rides, stalls and family entertainment to streets such as the Market Place, High Street, Lichfield Street and New Street. Today, the fair remains an important part of Burton’s heritage, combining local history with the excitement and atmosphere of a modern funfair.

The Statutes Fair, operated by Pat Collins Fun Fairs, will be returning to Burton upon Trent town centre this year, taking place from Sunday 4th to Tuesday 6th of October in the Market Place and the surrounding areas of High Street, Lichfield Street, New Street, Manor Croft and Manor Drive.

The Fair will be open to the public at the following times:
•    Sunday 4th of October, 12:30pm – 11:00pm
•    Monday 5th of October, 12:00pm – 11:00pm
•    Tuesday 6th of October, 12:00pm – 11:00pm
