Over 170 years ago, Redfern captured the streets and buildings of Uttoxeter in a series of detailed paintings and sketches, offering a rare glimpse into the town before the sweeping changes of the late 19th century. With photography still in its infancy, these artworks are among the best surviving visual records of Victorian Uttoxeter.

This unique event invites you to journey through time and discover what has been lost—and what still remains—through Redfern’s remarkable works.
