There’s plenty to celebrate in Staffordshire after attractions across the county scooped an impressive 13 awards at the 2026 UK Theme Park Awards, including a worthy Silver for Screamfest at East Staffordshire’s National Forest Adventure Farm.
The result is a proud moment for the team behind the family-run National Forest Adventure Farm, which has built Screamfest into one of the Midlands’ best-known Halloween events over the past 15 years.
Based at the farm in Tatenhill, near Burton upon Trent, Screamfest was awarded Silver for Scream Park of the Year, a new category recognising the very best Halloween scare experiences in the UK.
The award puts an East Staffordshire business firmly on the national attractions map and recognises the hard work that goes into transforming the National Forest Adventure Farm after dark each Halloween.
Screamfest welcomes more than 30,000 visitors each year, turning the farm into a spectacular Halloween experience packed with immersive scare attractions, live entertainment, rides, food, bars and roaming performers.
And Screamfest wasn’t alone in flying the flag for Staffordshire.
Together, Alton Towers Resort, Drayton Manor Resort and Screamfest brought home 13 awards, showcasing the breadth and quality of attractions on offer across the county.
Alton Towers Resort led the way with nine awards, including Gold for Best Brand Activation for Minecraft: Meet the Mobs and Best Landscaped Theme Park. It also picked up Silver awards for Best Theme Park for Thrills, Waterpark of the Year, Best Halloween Event for Scarefest, Best Theme Park Holiday Village for the Enchanted Village and Best Social Media Content (Large).
Its Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies! and Dark Hollow attractions also received Bronze awards.
Drayton Manor Resort added three more wins, with Thomas Land taking Bronze for Best Theme Park for Toddlers (Large), Christmas Wonderland receiving Silver for Best Christmas Event (Large), and the resort picking up Bronze for Best Value Theme Park.
The awards were decided following an incredible 267,982 public votes, alongside judging from an expert panel, making the recognition for Staffordshire attractions an achievement to be proud of.
For the team at the National Forest Adventure Farm, the Screamfest award is particularly special. What started 15 years ago has grown into a major Halloween event that brings visitors from across the Midlands and across the country.
It’s a fantastic showcase for what can be achieved by an independent, home-grown business, and another reason to celebrate the National Forest Adventure Farm as one of the attractions helping put East Staffordshire firmly on the map.
