Staffordshire Day is the county’s biggest celebration of local pride, bringing together communities, businesses and visitors to shout about everything that makes Staffordshire such a fantastic place to be. From historic market towns and riverside walks to family attractions, great food and welcoming local businesses, East Staffordshire has plenty to celebrate.

Across Staffordshire, you can expect a brilliant mix of events, activities and special offers to mark the occasion. Whether you’re discovering local heritage, heading out on a scenic walk, enjoying a family day out or tucking into something delicious from a local café or restaurant, Staffordshire Day is the perfect excuse to explore somewhere new – or rediscover a favourite spot.

Staffordshire Day takes place on 1st May, a date chosen by the public to celebrate the founding of Josiah Wedgwood’s pottery company in 1759 – a moment that helped put Staffordshire on the map as a world leader in ceramics, creativity and innovation.
