As part of Burton Cultural Celebration, explore one of its earliest chapters with Ancient Upon Abbey, a free trail from Discover East Staffordshire. Follow the paths once walked by monks, discover the former abbey and see how historic buildings and spaces have been repurposed, and changed over time.

The trail also takes you to Andresey Island, where St Modwen’s early Christian community is believed to have stood.
