ALL AGES WELCOME

Our weekly outdoor playgroup takes place in the secret wood behind the Deer Park, and aims to help you and your children connect with nature through the seasons. There is lots of free play to enjoy, including the mud kitchen area, hammock and den building and invitations to learn and explore using natural materials.

The playgroup is suitable from babies up to age 5. Even our littlest visitors, and the parents/carers, can benefit from all the benefits of being out in the woods. There will also be sensory activities suitable for babies available each week.

We run whatever the weather, unless conditions are too dangerous to be in the woodland such as high winds or storms forecast. Please dress both yourself and your child/ren appropriately with sturdy shoes, layers and things you don’t mind get dirty.

Other activities onsite:

There are long and short walks to enjoy before or after your sessions around Deer Park, and a wonderful café serving hot drinks, cakes and breakfasts and lunches. Those with a Woodland playgroup booking simply need to show their booking confirmation to receive a free babycino in the café on the same day, with purchase of an adult drink.

There is ample free parking on site, and toilet facilities in the farm shop.
