Highlights:
Opus Sculpture by Mark Delf (1992), which portrays how much the need for hard manual labour has been reduced by the introduction of the earth moving machinery designed and built by JCB.
The Fossor (the digger bucket) Sculpture by the famous British sculptor Walenty Pytel (1979) sits adjacent to the JCB walks, derives from the Latin for ‘digger’, and is made entirely of JCB parts. Weighing 36 tonnes and standing 45ft high, The Fosser became the largest steel structure in Europe at that time.
Bird Group Sculpture, by Peter Haigue (1981): a sculpture of five bronze birds is situated just above the surface of the lake adjacent to the front of the factory.
Startled Horse Sculpture by Mark Delf was installed at JCB World Headquarters in Staffordshire in 1990. The life-size bronze sculpture majestically overlooks the lake: symbolising that the animal has more power and control over its decisions than does the rider
